More info about Xbox One Console

After eight years of the Xbox 360, Microsoft finally launched the new machine, the Xbox one is a machine that aims to be the entertainment center of the living room, with gaming capabilities, online tv, skype, live tv.

Kinect comes in all consoles, the motion sensor is no longer an option, that is why the price difference between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Worth paying the premium price for this machine? We’ll see later.

In the box: the console, the power brick (external), control, hdmi cable, headset, kinect. The console is quite large and heavy, plus the power supply is external, this is strange because the ps4 is more powerful than the xbox one and has an internal power brick.

Hardware: 8-core AMD cpu, 8GB Ram and a 853mhz GPU, 500GB hard drive and it is noteworthy that it is not user replaceable, wifi connectivity, without bluetooth, digital audio output, hdmi input and output ports, 2 usb 3.0 ports and ethernet port.

Digitally purchased games can be played where we login, games bought on disc are installed in the console and the disc is needed to play.

The control is similar to the previous generation, with some improved aspects, especially the d-pad has been improved. The grip is very good, it has a micro-USB port for charging when rechargeable batteries (not included) are used, uses 2 AA batteries.

Kinect 2.0 is a breakthrough voice control, face detection, unfortunately still has some bugs that need to be resolved. Actually the Kinect is a good feature but not essential and even users who only use the xbox as a console game wont probably use it.

It is important to mention that in order to use all Xbox features we need to purchase a gold account, it’s a shame that a subscription is required to use most of the apps, also the tv function is useless outside the United States.

The good:
Kinect has a lot of potential.
It functions as an entertainment center for the living room.
Good exclusive games.

The bad:
Kinect still has bugs.
The TV features dont work outside US.
It is more expensive than the competition.
Gold account is required for some features.
It is bulky and heavy .

Conclusion :
As videogame console is behind the PlayStation 4 and unfortunately the TV integration is not global, but the Kinect is a feature that has potential.
